mom!! hey :) man you gotta take pictures of khaled and send them too me!! cause that sounds so freaking funny that i don't wanna miss out on it! haha mna this week has been like a roller coaster! we would have something bad happen to us and then something SO awesome happen right after!! it has actually been sunny this week which makes it awesome for tracting cause then its warm out! but we tracted into a lot of peolple in this apartment complex called quail hollow and we set up 5 church tours! which is awesome! there was this one guy named tim who we knocked into and when he opened the door we just started talking to him about him and didn't worry about getting him set up for a church tour and then the spirit just took over and we boasically couldve just invited him to be baptized right at the door! haha but instead we invited him on a church tour which was awesome! at the end of the tour we show them a picture of Jesus Christ being baptized by john the baptist and we were talking to him about the holy ghost and my comp related the holy ghost to welding and i invited him to be baptized and he was just straight up like "yes, this is what i need right now. i need that peace back into my life." it was awesome!!! and then he later asked my comp why she realated the holy ghost to welding and she was like i don't know it just came to me and he is a welder for the navy!! and he just related to her so well and it was awesome to see how the spirit works through us so we can say the things that need to be said! and we were so happy for tim and we teach him again tomorrow! he's getting baptized in the third week of october which will be awesome! we were so happy after because we had such a terrible lesson earlier that day with a guy named blake who we tracted into and he had a lot of questions so we asked if we could come back another day and talk with him and that was on saturday that we went back over to his house. and man we brought the senior couple (finnegans) with us because we thought they would be great help and man it just went bad! he would ask a question and it was basically like a free for all and we were all interupting eachother and the spirit wasmnt there and mannn i felt soo bad after that lesson...
so we had this ward luau on friday and there were so many nonmembers and less actives there it was awesome!! it was like a feeding frenzy for us hahah we were just trying to meet everyone and stuff it was nuts! man so there are a lot of hawaiians here so i eat alot of hawaiin food hahah and hopefully i start picking up on their lingo so i sound cool hahah just kidding... but real!
so taylor got baptized yesterday!! it was so awesome! he came to church and half way through sacrament meeting he's like i gotta go to the bathroom and he just runs out! and me and my comp are like dude whats going on? and he comes back and hes like i'm going home i don't feel good... he had gone and thrown up because he was so nervous about his baptism later that night! so we were freaking out cause we were concerned that he didn't want to do this anymore but everything worked out and he was batized and confirmed last night! and i had to give a talk on the restoration haha it went well
sooo my crazy story for this week is about this lady that the bishop referred us too. ps he didn't give us any details he just sai d she could us a visit. so we go over there and she is like oh i have some questions for you and she says it with a littl ebut of tude andwe are like okay... so she basically starts yelling at us becuse she doesn't have a temple recommend because she doesn;'t pay her tithing and she is mad because she knows of peole who are murderers and theives and they have temple recommends and she is just freaking out about it! and then her daughter comes bargin in and basically starts yelling at us and syaing that we are a cult and her mom has paid enough tithin for the past 75 years so she doesn't need to pay our money hungry church anymore! and man it was nuts! we tried to explain everything and she just wasnt having it! so we left on a good note and just got outta there as fast as we could!
