mom!!
i'm glad az got some rain haha we get enough here....... it actually hasn't rained in about a week but its been cloudy off and on and i just want the sun to burst through!
this week was pretty good i'm trying to remember what happened haha we've been doing alot of service again like helping people move and clean up there yard and such which is always fun cause it mixes up the work and service helps humble people. we had two really cool experiences that are kind of sticking out so the first one was when we were knocking on doors. we were knocking these apartments we had just recently found and we were hitting that time where we were going to stop so we knocked on our last door for the night and this older guy opens the door and at first i thought he was just going to tell us he's not interested but we just started to talk with him and he opened up to us really quickly and ttold us how he just moved to washington from nevada and that he lost his job which was VERY succesful he had 2 homes and tons of toys and what not and now here he was living in an apartment with half his stuff. he told us he knew a lot about the book of mormon and about the church because he worked with a few members in the business world and he said he always had a lot of respect for them. then her told us that his faith in God has pretty much ceased and so i asked him if he would be interested in regaining that faith gain and after a long pause he said yes. so i bore my testimony on how us showing up on his doorstep was a sign from God and that we are here to tell him that God is aware of him and his situation and that He loves him. so we talked more with him and shared a book of mormon scripture and then exchanged info and we are gonna see him later this week! so that was way cool because it was one of those times where i just opened my mouth and it was filled with the words to say.
another really neat experience was we got to go to girls camp on friday because we had an investigator named bentli there and she brought her nomember friend sara. so we went up to help with an activity and then to join testimony meeting which was awesome! cause bentli had been on the fence for SO long about whether or not she wanted to get baptized and she bore her testimony and said shewants to get baptized! and THEN her friend sara was going to bare her testimony but didnt so we asked her to share with us what she was gonna say and she said " i was gonna say i'm not a mormon but being here has made me want to change that." it was really cool to see how girls camp had completely changed these girls! and then on sunday sara's dad (who isnt a member either) brought her and bentli to church! it was really cool!
so those are the big highlights of the week haah sounds like you are having a great summer i keep hearing about the olympics and i hear the womens soccer is doing awesome which makes me happy! haha well i love you and hopeyou have a good week!
