hey mom! of course the boys were watching Lord of the Rings haha i guess that is one thing that will never change about them.... so this week was pretty crazy we are teaching a lot of polynesians which is cool because they have the biggest hearts and just LOVE the missionaries! we never leave their homes without like 27 boxes full of food and who knows what! that is probably why i'm gaining weight like crazy... BUT me and sister baylon have been doing this workout called insanity and it holds true to its name. i'm always sweating like a mad man by the end of it and we decided we are gonna do some more walk days and bike days so we arent always using our car. thats the problem with serving in the US if your wards love you they treat you like royalty so you get all fattened up and then we have a car so i only really walk between 5 and 7 when we knock doors but thats not enough to stop my fat gut haha anyways enough about that!
so a few weeks ago we found this hidden trailer park and so we decided to knock it cause i had never seen it before. and on the second door we knocked on a boy answered that i instantly recruited on my team ( thats what we say when we find someone attractive) haha his name is augustine and he just graduated high school and his sisters were recently baptized so we began teaching him and his twin bro, josh, and then his friend named mezan. me and baylon call them our little model crew cause they all look like they just came fro a magazine its so funny haha but ya so that is someone we are teaching and hopefully we'll be able to see them baptized soon.
so they highlight of the week was daytons baptism!! it was awesome cause his best friend gabe got to baptize him and it was really neat to see. but there was a little drama with the stake relief society president because they had a huge womens conference on saturday so they were setting up for it the night before (friday) and thats when daytons baptism was scheduled so she called everyone but the prophet to try and have us stopped so she could set up for the activity. even after we offered to help it wasn't enough.. so that was a little crazy. joseph smith has a quote that says "no UNhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing" and member have the gospel so their hands are hallowed and so they have the ability to stop the work whether its by lack of faith or whatever. so it was frustrating to see how upset she got over a 16 year old boy who is trying to better his life. but we got it all figured out and we had the baptism like we planned haha it was a crazy day but ended off on a good note!
well tell dad i said happy fathers day and that his card is in the mail! i love you and hope ya'll have a good week!
love tay
