haha mom! so first off sorry about the wrong scripture... it is galations 5:22... and now i feel like a fool... haha but hey i will at least remeber it now! and especially cause we gave a TON of church tours this week! we had three this past saturday and a few set up through out the week!
so we move into our apartment this friday! WOOO!!! i'm so excited! i mean i love the oatfileds (the family we are living with) but we need our own space! we currently do our comp study and planning in a closet.... haha its a little crammed but hey me and ikey are like bff's now so its all good! haha she cracks me up. we have a ton of fun and she is a hard worker which i am once again SO grateful for! so the two wards we are over are helping us furnish our apartment and they are going a little crazy! so let me expalin. there is so much stuff people are willing to donate to us that its like a mad house. at church yesterday in relief society i felt like i was at an auction cause people were like raisng there hands and shouting
"i have a lamp!"
"oH ya well i have 3 lamps to donate!"
"OH YA?! WELL I HAVE 7 lamps to donate" and i was like woah clam down ladies i like light so i will take them all.... haha it was kind of outta control. they are just so excited to have sisters that they love to welcome us with gifts every 26 seconds. our car is SO full of food, and snacks, and all of this other junk that they give us haha but we love it
so i'm sure i've mentioned in past emails about the nasty smell of mushrooms that consumes the surrounding neighborhoods next to the 'shroom' farm. but man it is rank! its like theh smell of all the cow farms in gilbert but worse... and then the other day when we went tracting and all i could smell was another kind of shroom it you know what i'm saying.. haha
so it was sunny pretty much all week!! i was SO happy for that except for the fact that my eyes burn and water like i'm walking around with onions in my hands or something, every time the sun is out.... so people around here come out of their little caves (houses) when the sun comes out and man when the sun is out here it means its summer time and you can walk around in shorts and a tank top and its like 45 degrees out... haha i'm walking around with like 50 layers on and everyone else is half naked.... so weird. so we had a ton of miracels this week. the biggest one was that a family that ikey was working with in her last area (olympia, she was there for 7 1/2 months, which is her whole mission, and she has been working with them since june and baptized everyone but one person) well they moved into one of our wards and now we hopefully will get to baptized the last memebr of the family which is the grandma! ikey was WAY excited haha
so don't be afraid to speak to people about the church! the worst they can say is no thanks. but i get it, its something that can be scary to approach people i just do it all day long so i'm not really scared about it anymore haha but the more you do it the easier it gets but just start off with something simple like inviting someone to a relief society activity or a ward activity and then just go from there! well i'm outta time but know i love you and miss you!!!
